Since over 30 years we have been active in chess.
In 1989 the commercial company ´Euro Schach & Spiel´
was founded. In a complex new development of a modern chessproduct
during 1994 and 1995 we participated in the development and production
of the electronic chessclock ‘GARDE electronic’ for
the first time.
In 1998 the chessrange was separated into the company ‘Euro
Schach Dresden’.
Great importance has been given to the electronic chessclock ‘SchachTimer’
since 2000. The first "black" version was developed further
in 2002 to the ‘ChessTimer Silver’.
The Cooperation with the European Chess Union (ECU) resulted in
a fast introduction of the ‘ChessTimer Silver’ into
European chess.
Meanwhile this new electronic chess clock has been used successfully
in over 150 important national and international chess tournaments.
We want to accentuate the World Chess Championship U18 in Spain
2002, the European Youth Chess Championship in Turkey 2003, the
European Woman's Championship in Germany 2004, European Club Cup
in Turkey 2004, European Individual Women´s Championship in Moldava 2005, World Youth Chess Olympiad in Turkey 2006, European Championship Men and Woman - Germany 2007,
World Championship Youth - Turkey 2007, World Youth Championship
- Vietnam 2008 as well as national championships in Germany and
Austria.
For further increase of ability and marketing the production and
the selling of the ‘ChessTimer Silver’ were transfered
to the independent company ‘EuroChessInternational’
ECI in 2004.
Horst Metzing, General Secretary of ECU said: "We
are very pleased about our successful cooperation with ECI since
more than three years. Therefore, we would like to intensify and
to extend the partnership. Since 01/01/2006 the “Silver”
is the official clock of ECU and we would like to emphasize our
utter recommendation for all tournaments and chess events."
Furthermore, Boris Kutin, President of ECU, added:
"The chess timer “Silver” proved to be of value
during European championships and numerous tournaments in Europe
and meets all FIDE regulations."
